BUMBLE TO VULTURES BLUFF
As I sit here drinking my hot chocolate and admire such a beautiful morning I remind myself that the 2024 bumbling season has arrived.YAYYYYYYYYYY! I find myself reviewing some of the bumble trips we did last year. I come upon the one we did to Vultures Bluff. I had never been there let alone hear of it.It is always nice to see knew places. On July 22 we leave Pemborke area and head to River Front Pub in Nackawic for lunch. Our bumble consisted of 21 bikes and 39 people. It was quite the crew. There was lots of laughter and story telling and the girls waiting on us were the best. With our bellies full and our left overs packed up to snack on later we hop on our buggies and head to Vultures Bluff. It is located in the Greenhill Lake area. We follow the trail towards Zealand and at Prossers Rest stop we turn left and head toward Greenhill Lake Road. The trails get a bit dusty at times. It is a bit of a rocky path leading up the the base of the bluff where it becomes quite steep. We are an adventureous group so we continue on. There was lots of picture taking of the view. It overlooks the Green hill Lake area and we see lots of green foliage.I stand back and take a look at all the commarderie going on. It is so awesome to see this. We have no cares in the world when we` are together in the great wildnerness. As usual when we stop for a break there is another story to tell. Oh what stories can be told on the trails. You know that saying”What happens on the trails stay on the trails!”We have to break up the fun and head back to the trail to head back to our starting point. It has been a long day but a worth while one. Unfortunely I did not write in my journal the actual distance we traveled today but a guess of over 150 km would be a good one. We stop along the trail now and again to stretch our legs and maybe have a snack. Gary leaves us at Nackawic. It was a great day as usual and I know for fact I will have no trouble sleeping. Thank you Dwayne for escorting us to Vulture’s Bluff. On a final note I wish all you bumblers out there a great 2024 ATV season. See you on the trails. HAPPY TRAILS
