Municipal By Law No 2022-01
A By-Law Designating Portions of Road within
the Town of Woodstock as Accessible to off Road Vehicles
WHEREAS, pursuant to the powers conferred by the Off-Road Vehicle Act, S.N.B. 1985, c.-
0-1.5 and its amendments, the Council of the Town of Woodstock duly assembled enacts
the present By-Law.
BE IT ENACTED by the Council of the Town of Woodstock, subject to the provisions of the
Local Governance Act under Section 15.
1. Off-Road Vehicle shall only be driven on the street of Houlton Street (Route 103) from civic no. 164 to Main Street (intersection of Route 103 & Route 165) at a speed not exceeding 40 km/h for a distance of 750 M and further set out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule “A”.
2. Off-Road Vehicles shall only be driven on the street of Main Street from the antersection of Houlton Street (Route 103 & Route 165) to Connell Street (intersection of Route 550 & Route 165) at a speed not exceeding the 40 km/h for a distance of 1.2KM and furtherset out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule “B”.
3. Off-Road Vehicle shall only be driven on the street of Connell Street (Route 550) from 104 Connell Street to Municipal Town Limits at a speed not exceeding 40 km/h for a distance of 4.1 KM and furtherset out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule “C”.
4. Off-Road Vehicle shall only be driven on the street of Gallop Court to civic no. 123 and Gallop Street to civic no 104 at a speed not exceeding 40 km/h for a distance of 300 M and furtherset out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule “D”.
5. Off-Road Vehicle shall only be driven on the street of King Street to civic no. 220 at a speed not exceeding 40 km/h for a distance of 140 M and furtherset out on the map attached to this By-Law as Schedule “E”.
6. Off-Road Vehicle shall only be driven across Bridge # M306 (Meduxnekeag River)
7. The driver or any occupant of the off-road vehicle must be properly wearing a helmet that8. The Off-Road Vehicle must be outfitted with the necessary equipment as described in accordance with the Off-Road Vehicle Act.

9. Off-road vehicles must travel in the same direction as traffic and one behind the other on the far right of the street.
10. Off-road vehicles shall give the appropriate signals as required under the Motor Vehicle Act and must obey all traffic control device
11. No person shall operate an Off-Road Vehicle on the travelled portion of Main Street, Connell Street, Houlton Street,Gallop Court, Gallop Street or King Street unless they are in possession of a valid driver’s license.
12. Off-road vehicles shall display a valid trail permit as required under the Off-Road Vehicle Act or a valid trail permit from another Province having a reciprocal agreement with New Brunswick, this license being in the form of a sticker which must be clearly and permanently displayed on the ATV or Side-by-Side. The driver must be immediately able to provide a registration document and an insurance document for the vehicle. A license plate with a valid sticker must be visible.
13. No person shall drive an off-road vehicle in a manner that poses a risk to public safety and shall adhere to associated provincial/federal statutes and applicable municipal by-law(s) at all times during operation.
14. Any other vehicle utilizing the street shall have the right of way.
15. Schedule A, B, C , D & E form an integral part of this by-law.
OFFENSE:
Anyone who violates this By-Law commits a punishable offence and is liable to a fine of $100.00, in addition to any fine under the Off-Road Vehicle Act, SNB 1985, c O-1.5 and its amendments. This is to certify that By-Law 2022-01, “All-Terrain Vehicle By-Law” has been enacted by the Council of the Town of Woodstock and that the said by-law was:

This By-Law shall come into full force and take effect and be binding on all persons as of and from the date filed at the Registry Office.
